A nifty 13: Ready for GRoWtH

 

Sambaash turns 13 this Oct’21 as the world celebrates Vijaya Dashami on Oct 15th, 2021 - a festival wherein we overcome & triumph over our inadequacies, our compulsiveness & our fears;  after nine days of celebration of the various qualities of the divine feminine that resides in all of us - exuberance, graciousness, fierceness, well-being, affection, love, warmth, knowledge, knowhow, inclusiveness & transcendence (across the 3 groupings of Tamas, Rajas & Sattva) - all leading to a very conscious living. 

 

Since the last anniversary, a lot has happened. We expected the new norm to settle down quickly and with all of us getting set to a new routine. However, here we are - still WFH, an acronym that everyone knows of. 

 

At Sambaash, we have continued the journey with a laser focus on our mission of a powerful purpose:  to transform education ecosystem and impart a meaningful impact on life-long learning and learners - from high-school students to university graduates to workplace learners. 

 

We have imbibed this life-long learning very truly at our work too. 

 

Our People

 

We more than doubled our team size in the last 18 months. While doing so, we enhanced our inclusive culture - our female team members increased rapidly with 40% of our team members being women and our co-founder Jane Chong leading the charge. This is a conscious decision under the “Supporting Women in the Workforce for sustainable growth”, as part of 2021 - Year of Celebrating SG Women. We embraced quite a few fresh graduates under the SG United Traineeship (SGUT) programme, to provide an opportunity for the young talents to launch their careers in the difficult terrain of the pandemic. We also supported the initiative for mature and senior professionals by onboarding quite a few Singaporeans through SG United Mid-Career Pathway programme and Career Conversion Programmes

 

Today, we are a team of nearly 40, exceptionally committed and dedicated individuals across age groups, cities, and nationalities!

 

 

We dog-food our stated purpose of a lasting impact on life-long learning by utilising our own transformative solution to launch our internal learning hub - Sambaash Edu Hub. Life-long learning is essential for all our team members to keep up with the current trend and innovation developments, including the skills for digital collaborative WFH.  Digital capabilities are now the focus of any learning experience and that is the crux of developing any learning design.

 

Within the realm of Learner’s Experience (LX) comes two important aspects of learning- Synchronous and Asynchronous Online learning leading to “Blended Learning”.  

 

WFH is not just about the need for digital collaborative skilling; it has also opened a pandora’s box on the impact of presenteeism and absenteeism at corporates and the global impact on mental well-being. We started a holistic well-being program for our team members - to address physical and mental well-being and it has been very well received. 

 

We are very happy to say that we have strategic customers, in their respective areas of digital skills learning and well-being programs, using our platforms for their growth across their respective pan-Asia and global customers respectively. 

 

This learning experience of ours - using our platform to deliver learning journeys across tech and core skills for ourselves, combined with its usage by our strategic customers,  is positively impacting our corporate workforce learning and edu institutions customers.

We deliver this enhanced learning outcome through our home-grown integrated & modular platform ECLAIRS, comprising a suite of innovative products. ECLAIRS is a plug-n-play cloud-based solution for the learning business transformation that helps the learner’s journey starting from learner’s acquisition through integrated digital marketing, onto straight-through processing & management of learning operations, and supporting learners with blended learning pedagogy and hyper-personalized learning facilitation to achieve learning outcomes.

 

 

In these pandemic times, not only did we launch new products of OmniLearn LMS and OmniMentor, but we also grew with our existing customers and added more blue-chip customers - local and international. 

  • 1. OmniCom CRM: Learner-centric integrated omni-channel digital marketing & sales for acquisition.
  • 2. OmniEdu ERP: Straight-through processing of business operations for a seamless learning administration.
  • 3. OmniLearn LMS: Integrated blended learning management for offline to online learning pathway.
  • 4. OmniMentor: Hyper-personalised and virtualized mentoring to scale up blended learning.
  • 5. OmniSkills: Curated for skills profiling and developing the learning pathway of the skills gap, skills upgrade, and skills utilization.

 

We built & developed a new strategic IP Co-Sell partnership with Microsoft for our product stack on Microsoft Azure, while we worked on enhancing our existing ISV partnership with AWS. These strategic partnerships combined with help & guidance from SBF Globalconnect, IMDA, Enterprise SG, and a few other partners, have helped us spread our wings across the globe, and specifically India, Indonesia, and Malaysia. 

 

Ready for GRoWtH

 

The most important thing, of the many things we have learnt experientially, is that we must constantly evolve if we want to grow. And evolution means that we raise our experience of life to become more conscious.

As a young company of 13 years, we are nimble and we ought to remain so. More importantly, we are nifty (very interesting or clever, well-executed, very pleasant or enjoyable, very attractive or appealing: Merriam Webster dictionary) too. 

 

A big shoutout and a heartfelt thanks to all our customers, partners, team members, and well-wishers for this exciting, learning journey. Well, this journey is becoming more exciting than ever before! 

 

We have many customers to serve and numerous lives to impact - it can be termed as the most important time for us at Sambaash!
